The Brunei Cyber Security Association (BCSA), in collaboration with Cyber Security Brunei (CSB), hosted the Ladies in Cyber (LiC) event at Laksamana College of Business (LCB) premises on Friday.
Themed ‘SheSecures: Women Leading Cyber Defence’, the morning session featured a capture the flag challenge hosted by cyber673 and moderated by Saedah Hasnal from Women in CSB.
It aimed to enhance technical skills and encourage collaboration while fostering confidence among women.
The afternoon session saw Head of Computing at LCB Saritha Viswam Kalathil deliver opening remarks, followed by a panel discussion featuring women leaders in cybersecurity and tech. The panel included Shenny Tang, Jan Ee Ning, Mumtaz Jumat and Aazzah Aziz.
The event continued with a tabletop cybersecurity exercise, jointly facilitated by Rosyzie Apong and Aazzah Aziz and concluded with closing remarks by BCSA Vice President Serina Ali.
LiC 2025 reflects BCSA’s commitment to promoting inclusive participation and leadership among women in the cybersecurity industry, aiming to support the growth of Brunei’s cyber talent pipeline and empower future leaders in the digital domain.
