The BTEC Higher National qualification in Computing is designed to address an increasing need for high quality professional and technical education pathways at Level 4 and 5, providing students with a clear path to employment or progression to further education, such as, a degree. The programme aims to develop graduates with a strong and broad technical knowledge in computer science and technology reflecting the current developments in Information Technology (IT) area such as Software Engineering and Application Development. Upon completion of Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Computing in (Software Engineering or Application Development), students have direct entry into second year of:

  • BSc (Hons) Computer Science

BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Computing (Software Engineering/ Application Development and Testing)

Entry Requirement:

  • 1 GCE ‘A’ Level + 4 GCE ‘O’ Level Credits*
  • BDTVEC National Diploma
  • HNTEC Certificate, or equivalent
    *GCE ‘O’ Level in English or IELTS score of 5.5 can also be considered with this qualification
  • Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business
  • University Foundation Course
