Laksamana College of Business (LCB) hosted an appreciation lunch to honour the Judiciary Department and members of Brunei’s legal fraternity for their support of the college’s law programme and student internships.
Acting Chief Registrat and Chief Magistrate Pengiran Hajah Norismayanti binti Pengiran Haji Ismail and Senior Registrar Hajah Noor Amalina binti Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin from the Judiciary Department attended the event.
Law Society of Brunei Darussalam President Haji Muhammad Zainidi bin Haji Abdul Hamid was also in attendance.
LCB Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Principal Dr Sivarajah Subramaniam said that industry collaborations are vital in equipping students for a successful legal career.
“Our collaboration reflects a shared vision to nurture capable, ethical, and practice-ready students who contribute meaningfully to Brunei’s legal landscape,” said Dr Sivarajah.
Law student representative Dayangku Nur Amanina Bazilah binti Pengiran Hassanal Hairuddin expressed gratitude for mentorship provided by the Judiciary Department and participating firms.
The event saw the presentation of internship certificates to the students who completed their placements, followed by tokens of appreciation to the judiciary and law firms. – Lyna Mohamad
