Laksamana College of Business (LCB) is a leading private higher education institution in Brunei Darussalam, established in 2003 through a partnership with Kensington College of Business, London and Abdul Razak Holdings.
For more than two decades, LCB has built a distinctive position in Brunei’s higher education landscape by bringing together internationally recognised education, industry relevance and a multicultural learning environment. The College offers a broad portfolio of programmes spanning pre-degree, professional, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate education, across Business, Computing and IT, Law, Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts.
LCB’s academic pathways include qualifications and programmes delivered in partnership with internationally recognised institutions including University of Essex, Kensington College of Business, Pearson BTEC and City & Guilds London.
Quality and international standards remain central to LCB’s institutional approach. The College is accredited by the Ministry of Education and is an ASIC Premier Institution, reflecting its commitment to quality across the wider student and learning experience. LCB is also a member of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), further connecting the College with the international higher education quality community.
Beyond the classroom, LCB places strong emphasis on applied learning and industry engagement. Students benefit from opportunities including internships, industry projects, field experiences, professional engagement, entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives. The College’s facilities include dedicated lecture halls, an auditorium, computer laboratories, a full-fledged library, an industry-standard culinary kitchen, student-run restaurant The Chef, and student accommodation.
LCB is home to a diverse academic community, with staff from 18 countries and students representing 23 nationalities, creating an environment where students learn alongside different perspectives, cultures and professional experiences.

The BA Common Year 1 programme is recognised by many leading UK universities including The University of South Wales, Aberystwyth University, Keele University, and the well-known University College, Birmingham, amongst many other prominent UK universities.

Welcome to Laksamana College of Business.
Kensington College of Business (KCB) has been a very familiar institution with Bruneian students in fulfilling their needs for further education. In this on going process we have built a good relationship with students and their parents and in appreciation of the enthusiasm shown, we take great pleasure in establishing KCB in your country under the name Laksamana College of Business (LCB). For our Brunei College, we have developed comprehensive courses which meet current need such as Academic and Professional Business Courses. There are 2 main routes for those who want to pursue a career in Business:
- Take a Professional Qualifications, e.g. KCB Diploma, which trains the students for specific careers in Administration, Marketing/Finance, etc.
- Take a bachelor’s degree (BA) awarded by the University of Essex, which provides a high level of education and so prepares the students for a career in any area of business.
Although both of these routes will naturally inspire students to achieve top management positions, the completion of education can be achieved by continuation on to an MBA or MSc in KCB London.
At KCB we offer both routes and our courses and facilities have been inspected and approved by Professional Associations, Universities, Employers and Students Worldwide.

Future-Ready Education
Laksamana College was founded in 2003 to provide the next generation of Bruneians with training and exposure to the world of business. Today, as the government is calling for diversification due to the oil price, the mandate of training the next generation of entrepreneurs has never been more urgent and significant. How has Laksamana College responded to this?
As YB Pehin Hapidz stated in his founding statement, since our inception, developing entrepreneurs has always been the core of our existence. At Laksamana College, we encourage students to not only consider careers with the government. We constantly challenge students to identify opportunities; to ask the question about what the market needs; and the find solutions that will fill the gaps. Regarding this, we are actively engaged with the business community through BBBF (British Brunei Business Forum) in trying to establish dialogues; and conducting sessions on our premises to share the latest practical and market knowledge with our students.
We are a forward-thinking higher education institution aiming to prepare our students for a quickly changing world. We equip our students with 21st Century skills, critical thinking skills, global perspective, and respect for core Brunei values of honesty, integrity, loyalty, and compassion. Developing these skills is at the heart of the education we offer. Students will have success for today and be prepared for tomorrow.
