Course Overview

The KCB BA Common Year One grants direct entry to the second year of many degree programmes. Students can use this year to learn and experience a breadth of topics finding out where their passion lies. Enjoying a field of study is necessary to excel at higher levels and our students have an opportunity to ensure they pursue a career in an interesting and profitable field.

Aim & Objectives

  • The course enable students to develop and use a range of generic (transferable), cognitive, intellectual, personal and interpersonal skills required for effective undergraduate study and future vocational needs. 

  • It give students practice in technical and management skills associated with the subjects that comprise their curriculum.

  • To teach effective problem solving and decision making using appropriate quantitative and qualitative skills including identifying, formulating and solving business problems

Upon the completion of BA Common Year 1, students may proceed to second year of:

  • BA (Hons) Marketing
  • BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance
  • BA (Hons) Business Management

Upon the completion of BA Common Year 1 with the pre-requisite module, students may proceed to second year of:

  • BA (Hons) International Tourism Management

BA Common Year One

Entry Requirement:

  • 2 ‘A’ Level in English medium subjects
  • IB – 24 points
  • HNTEC Certificate
  • Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma
    (overall Merit grade)
  • University Foundation Course,
    or equivalent
