Teeing off for a good cause
Golfers in Brunei Darussalam are invited to tee off for a good cause at the Laksamana College of Business Golf Charity Tournament 2021 held in conjunction with the Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) 35th Anniversary.
The tournament’s details will be revealed from June 12-13 at the Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) Golf Club, it was announced during a press conference yesterday. Proceeds from the tournament will be fully utilised for KACA.
The tournament’s supervisor Pengiran Mohd Aiman Safwan bin Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohd Jefri, KACA President Dato Paduka Haji Zainal bin Haji Momin, KACA Managing Director Haji Abdul Alim bin Haji Awang Othman and LCB student representative of BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hospitality Management Muhammad Nasrullah Basith bin Norshahrinizam attended the conference.
In addition to raising fund for KACA, the tournament also aims to expose LCB students of BTEC Level 5 HND in Hospitality Management to real-life experience in managing and planning an event.

Dato Paduka Haji Zainal said KACA, which looks after the welfare of children with different disabilities, is looking to build a branch in Temburong District in future.
“We need to collect fund to sustain our operation, therefore we really appreciate LCB for the event and we hope local golfers will join the charity golf tournament,” he said.
Participating golfers stand chances to win hole-in-one prizes: A Range Rover Evoque for Hole 5 and a Mini Cooper for Hole 2.
The tournament, to be played in the System 36 and strokeplay format, is divided into three categories: men, women and senior (above 60 years), where they will compete for the LCB Golf Charity Tournament, overall gross player, overall nett player, men’s gross and nett top three finishers and women’s nett and senior’s top three finishers.
Registration fee for the tournament is BND110 each, which includes a goodie bag and a polo shirt. Registration forms can be obtained from www.lcb.edu.bn, or from the rooftop level of LCB or RB Golf Club. It opens until June 1.
