Fundraising for a good cause

The Laksamana College of Business (LCB) organised the ‘Laksamana College of Business Golf Charity Tournament’ in conjunction with KACA’s 35th Anniversary’ recently.


The event sought to give back to charity while presenting the LCB BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma (HND) Hospitality Management students the opportunity to apply theories into practice and experience managing an event for their ‘Managing and Planning an Event’ module. Proceeds amounting to BND10,741.70 were donated to KACA received by Dato Paduka Haji Zainal bin Haji Momin. A total of 276 players registered for the charity golf tournament.


Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Major General (rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, who played in the tournament during the Sunday morning session, was the guest of honour the prize presentation ceremony.


The novelty prizes (Longest Drive for Men & Ladies at Hole 18 and Nearest to the Pin for all Par 3s) were sponsored by LCB.


The Hole-in-One for Hole 5 prize, a Range Rover Evoque was sponsored by Land Rover Indera Motors and while the prize for Hole 2, a Mini One 3-door, was sponsored by MOV Corp Co and Wei Hong’s Construction. Any Hole-in-one for all Par 3’s received BND1,000 sponsored by LCB.


The tournament was also supported by BMW QAF Auto Sdn Bhd, Hua Ho Department Store, UOB Bank Brunei, Starbalm, Pengda Sdn Bhd, Sahabaz Co Sdn Bhd, Iron Mind Golf, Ezy Printing, The Rizqun International Hotel, The Centrepoint Hotel and the Fusion Foodcourt.
