More companies donate to MoH
More companies came forward to hand over an assortment of donations to the Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday as part of their corporate social responsibility initiative amid the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar and Acting Director of Administration and Finance at the MoH Sufinah binti Haji Serudin received the donations on behalf of the ministry.
LSL Sdn Bhd, the main contractor of the new National Virology Reference Laboratory at Jalan Sumbiling, waived the construction cost of the lab, totalling BND569,348, along with Trane Aire Sdn Bhd, Daya Engineering Sdn Bhd, Amberhigh Sdn Bhd, Beaver Engineering Sdn Bhd, KhaArkitek, Swee Sdn Bhd, Petar Perunding Sdn Bhd, Supinda Electronic & Trading Company, Razaco Transport Services and Gaya Reka Sdn Bhd. Representing the group at the handover ceremony were LSL Managing Director Low Soon Lye and LSL Director Dato Paduka Haji Ahmad bin Kadi. The LSL Director also donated BND30,000.
Meanwhile, YMRM Company, represented by Chairman of YMRM Group of Companies Ramesh Jiwatram Bhawnani, donated BND10,000; Parvati Textiles, represented by Hermant Punjabi, donated BND3,000 and 1,000 units of Theruptor hand sanitiser; Abdul Razak Holdings, represented by its Director Haji Suhaimei bin Haji Besar, donated BND30,000; Laksamana College of Business, represented by its Personal Manager Pengiran Mansor bin Pengiran Jaya, donated BND30,000; BISTARI Association, represented by its President Datin Hajah Asmah binti Haji Abdul Rahman, donated BND10,000; Stesen Minyak Koperasi Perniagaan dan Perusahaan Melayu Berhad (Ko-PPMB) Filling Station, represented by its Managing Director Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapa bin Pengiran Metassan, donated BND2,500; SP Makmur Jaya Sdn Bhd, represented by its Managing Director William Ngoh Fook, donated BND5,000; and OKKY Jewellery Sdn Bhd made a donation of BND3,000.
