Registration open for LCB University Foundation Course programme
Registration for the September intake of the Laksamana College of Business (LCB) University Foundation Course (UFC) programme is open until September 24 at Plaza Abdul Razak in Batu Satu.
The programme is accredited by the Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (BDNAC).
UFC saves time gaining entry into a United Kingdom (UK) university. Overseas qualifications are often not recognised by UK universities, which insist on UK GCE ‘A’ Level qualifications. Such qualifications typically take up to two years to pass. The University Foundation Course, however, takes only one academic year to complete and guarantees entry into a UK university.
It is quite common to find foundation level courses giving you access to a few particular universities and/or to specific degree programmes. The UFC course, however, is unique since it was created by a group of universities, all of which guarantee LCB graduates of this course entry into Year 1 of a Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, or Business Information Management at their respective universities.
It is known that many students undertake a degree with no prior knowledge of the subject, and often regret their choice. The University Foundation Course, however, covers a lot of the subject matter students will be faced with at the degree level, therefore ensuring students are better placed to make a more informed decision as to the degree they would like to pursue.
Students of the University Foundation Course are assessed continuously throughout the year. Most university access courses such as ‘A’ Level and other foundation courses start only in September. LCB’s University Foundation Course, however, is divided into two semesters and students have the flexibility of starting in any order.
