Chefs teach ABCs of Polish dishes

TWENTY-TWO culinary school students of Laksamana College of Business (LCB) in Jalan Tutong were introduced to Polish cuisine during a cooking workshop by two Polish chefs.

Chefs Marcin Budynek and Marious Olechno were in the country in conjunction with the ‘Tatars: Muslims in the Republic of Poland Exhibition’ in the Sultanate. The exhibition is held in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur.

The chefs introduced the culinary school students several ingredients popular in Poland such as mushrooms and herbs.

Students also learnt how to prepare a Duck Confit for dinner after the launch of the exhibition at LCB.

Chef Budynek demonstrated on the technique and ways on how to slice up a whole duck and guided the students in this hands-on workshop.

The students were also taught on marinating the duck with parsley herbs and butter, followed by cooking techniques where Chef Budynek pan-seared the duck breast as the students watched the demonstration.

The students then savoured the dish.
