Raising awareness on donating blood

November 5, 2017

AS PART of its college activity and contribution to the community, students of Laksamana College of Business (LCB) Fitness Club organised a blood donation drive at the college premises.

It was held from 10am until 2pm, the second time such a campaign was held
this year, in which LCB actively holds a blood donation drive twice a year.

The blood donation drive was an initiative to encourage students, especially the newcomers and the staff, to continuously support and help the Blood Donation Centre at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital in increasing blood supplies.

For this semester, about 50 pints of blood was successfully donated and donors were given free energy drinks.

LCB is hoping that through this event it will help raise awareness among the students on the health benefits of donating blood and their involvement in helping those who are in need.

LCB Fitness Club is planning to organise the next donation in April 2018 after the orientation activity for its new February/March 2018 intake.
