LCB joins education expo in Bangkok
LAKSAMANA College of Business (LCB) increased its international profile and gained further exposure by participating in the three-day ‘Technical and Vocational Education and Training’ (TVET) showcase at the Worlddidac Asia 2017 education expo in Bangkok, Thailand.
In addition to Thailand and Brunei, other participants included representatives from Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, the Philippines, Korea, Malaysia and China.
Representing LCB was Bogumila Mischke, Administration Manager and Salmeiah binti Awang Sulaiman, Marketing Officer.
The event themed ‘The Path to Competence’ was aimed at preparing education professionals for the 21st Century education and economies. The objectives focussed on showcasing and promoting the use of quality resources and technologies to enhance teaching and learning, as well as promoting international education through strategic partnerships. The TVET showcase – which saw elite institutions and other organisations presenting products – in particular facilitated greater sharing and collaborations among TVET stakeholders across the region.

LCB was able to conduct face-to-face meetings with attending principals, directors, managers and government authorities to discuss both new developmental opportunities and increasing teamwork and collaborations in the field of education.
LCB officials visited King Mongkut’s Institute Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) – one of Thailand’s most prestigious universities.
At KMITL, LCB representatives met the institute’s Dean of College of Education Innovation Research, Dr Samart Deebhijarn, who showed the LCB delegation around and briefed them on some of the programmes offered at the university.
KMITL accepted the invitation to visit LCB in Brunei in the near future.
