Friendly futsal strengthens ties with UK visitors

A DELEGATION from the University of Chester were welcomed by senior management and academic staff of Laksamana College of Business (LCB).

The guests included Dr Chris Haslam, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Professor Lawrence Bellamy, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management; Professor David Balsamo, Dean of Social Science; Dr Linda Rayner, Head of Computer Science; and Colin Taylerson, Principal Assistant Registrar.

According to a press release, the UK guests attended LCB’s Graduation Ceremony of 2016/2017 to honour its 647 graduating students. The event was held at Songket Ballroom, The Rizqun International Hotel.

There was some futsal action when the delegation was joined by Ian Pirie, Principal and Director of Laksamana College and Kensington College of Business; Dr Lawrence Watson, Kensington College’s Chairman and; Sivarajah Subramaniam, Chief Operating Officer at LCB in a friendly match against LCB’s students studying in the University of Chester programme.

The match was held at Dar Takaful Brunei Darussalam.
