THE Laksamana College of Business (LCB) recently gave a Ramadhan Sungkai gathering for the orpahned students of the Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and the Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic Boys Secondary School.
The sungkai gathering was also attended by Haji Suhaimei Bin Haji Besar, the Director of the LCB; Sivarajah Subramaniam, the Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Principal of LCB; and members of the LCB Student Council.
The event opened with recitations of the Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil, followed by a breaking of the fast before the Maghrib prayers.
Mass Tarawikh prayers led by Mohammad Khairul Mu'az Bin Haji Sibodaud, a student at the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPUSB) were also held.
According to a press statement from the LCB, "It has become an annual tradition for LCB to share some happiness and goodwill with orphaned children, during the holy month of Ramadhan. Furthermore, this is one of the ways that our college is giving back to the local community."
