THE BTEC Hospitality students of Laksamana College of Business (LCB) is holding a one-week Café Route event at the college premise.
The main objective of the event is to provide a wide variety of food selection to demonstrate the students’ knowledge as part of their assessment for Food and Beverage Operations and Customer Service module under the Hospitality programme.
The students were divided into seven groups presenting different concepts of meals.
The event saw students starting business by 7.30am at the college with an English breakfast meal being served. Assorted appetisers such as the Mushroom Quiche, tarts and desserts were also available.
Other meals include the Ayam Masak Merah, Nasi Lemak Ayam and Buttermilk Chicken which are available in ala carte or set meal – which comes with a choice of drinks: rose syrup or milo shake and soup of the day.
According to a press statement, the LCB students were impressed with their collegemates’ talents to prepare the variety of dishes and also beverages.
The event is an annual activity carried out by the Hospitality students, with a special theme each year. It provided students with the experience of managing a business event and work as a team to make it successful.
