THE Laksamana College of Business (LCB) held a briefing at the Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School yesterday, in a joint collaboration with the Department of Schools’ Counselling and Career Guidance Section for the ‘Hala Tuju’ Programme 2017.

Among the programme’s objectives was to provide students information on enrolment prospects for private institutions, higher education and ideal career choices, after obtaining their ‘O’ Level results.

Salmeiah binti Sulaiman, LCB’s Marketing Officer briefed the students of Sayyidina Abu Bakar of the college’s achievements and UK link partners. She also informed them that the minimum entry requirements for the college is four GCE ‘O’ Level passes.

Meanwhile, Laksamana College of Business in a press statement, promised continued support for the ‘Hala Tuju’ Programme.

“This would be a good platform for introducing LCB to all Bruneian students and their parents,” said Salmeiah in the statement. “Often, private institutions like ours are not generally known to students at the secondary level. Therefore, they lack the necessary information when choosing between colleges/institutions after their ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels, as alternative options to further studies.”

She added, “This programme has to be continued and organised on an annual basis, to expose the types of programmes on offer at our college, and to let them know our exact location. The students, career teachers and parents will have the chance to meet our representatives to gain better information, so that we can help applicants/students in the enrolment process.”
