Brunei Cultural exchange for Hong Kong students

A GROUP comprising 30 students from Ju Ching Chu Secondary School, Hong Kong, accompanied by four teachers, visited Laksamana College of Business (LCB) yesterday.

The delegation was led by Chang Ming Vui, Managing Director of BruVacation Sdn Bhd, one of the travel agents in Brunei Darussalam.

The visit was actually a start-up of the ‘Brunei Cultural Exchange’ programme for Hong Kong students.

Chang Ming Vui and the group were welcomed upon arrival by Simon Keenan, Head of Business and Hospitality of LCB; Gloria A Antwiwaa, Quality and Compliance Assurance Officer of LCB and Salmeiah binti Awang Sulaiman, Marketing Officer of LCB.

Besides visiting places of interest in the country, the guests sought to learn more about the educational system of Brunei Darussalam. The students had the opportunity to commune with some of the LCB students and academic staff.

The visit included a short presentation by Simon Keenan.

He explained the establishment of LCB and the partnerships and types of programmes of the college. The Hong Kong delegation was informed that LCB is currently offering British qualifications which are recognised locally and worldwide.

At the end of the presentation, the Hong Kong delegation was given the opportunity to express any doubts and queries during the question and answer session.

The Hong Kong delegation toured the college visiting areas which include computer labs, lecture halls, the library and tutorial rooms.
