A TOTAL of 93 BTEC Level 2 Certificate Students of Laksamana College of Business (LCB) attended a talk by The Coffee Bean Brunei during their Business Organisation lecture.
The talk aimed to educate students on the importance of having aims and objectives, not just as individual but also for organisations.
The talk was delivered by four guest speakers, Mohamad Fairuz bin Ibrahim (General Manager), Ida Nabila binti Haji Patera (Marketing Manager), Mohamad Syukri bin Mohamad Rosli (Training Manager) and Siti Akmal Nadzirah binti Ibrahim (The Coffee Bean Brunei Assistant).
The talk focused on the journey of The Coffee Bean in Brunei and East Malaysia as well as their aims and objectives. Mohamad Fairuz emphasised the core value of the company which is to offer a total quality experience to their customers in terms of product, service and environment.
He said that these values are important for the company to achieve its aim to be the number one coffee shop in Brunei and East Malaysia.

Ida Nabila spoke about how aims and objectives can give focus to individuals and companies to know which direction they need to target for them to be successful.
She also mentioned the importance of companies giving back to society through corporate social responsibility (CSR) and cited an example where the company recently visited Kg Sukang and donated food and beverages to the people there as well as taught children how to prepare tuna sandwiches.
Meanwhile, Mohamad Syukri gave his testimony on how he became the training manager of The Coffee Bean Brunei.
He started as a barista and even won awards at a barista competition. He is in charge of training new baristas joining the company. He reminded the students about the importance of having a checklist to monitor performance.
Siti Akmal Nadzirah briefly explained about the coffee machine products. She said everybody can also make their own cup of coffee using the machines that the company is selling.
